FROM MONDAY 19TH JULY: 

As always, there will be mixed opinions on what the best way forward is for pubs, but here at the New Inn we want everyone to feel comfortable and safe as they continue enjoy our hospitality. 

You will notice that we have made some subtle changes to the layout of our tables and furniture indoors, this is to make way for customers to safely be able to come inside to order drinks at the bar without affecting customers already seated indoors. 

Face Masks:
 
It is no longer law for staff or customers to wear a face covering whilst at the New Inn and it is now personal choice if you continue to wear one or not.  

Sanitiser:

We will keep all sanitising stations available and will continue to regularly sanitise all surfaces. 

Ventilation:

We will continue to keep the pub well ventilated with all windows and doors open. 

Seating and bar stools:

For the time being we have not replaced all the bar stools inside the pub. This is to give the necessary space for other customers to order at the bar. We ask that no indoor tables or chairs are moved – this is to ensure that we still have some social distancing in place for everyone’s maximum comfort. 

Table service:

Table service will still be provided for those eating with us. For anyone popping in for a drink please come inside to order and pay at the bar. 

Please note – that we will continue to only serve food indoors and on our patio. The garden area will be for drinks only. 

Bookings:

As before, we are asking customers to book for food as much as possible. We only have a small kitchen and kitchen team and to keep to our fresh, high quality standard we do have a limit on how many meals we can serve in one day. 

Please DO NOT book for just drinks – we leave plenty of tables for drinkers and booking a table to then not eat massively impacts on our restaurant service. 

If you book a table and some of your guests can no longer make it, or if you can not make it, please please let us know in advance so we may offer your table to the next customer. 

Anyone who is more than 30 minutes late for their booking will automatically forfeit their table. 

Restaurant: 
For now, we are going to continue to offer single use sauces and cutlery will be brought to your tables when ordering. 

NHS App:

The government is still asking for the NHS App to be advertised, so we have left our QR codes on display, but again, this is not a requirement. 

Function room and groups:

We are now able to take bookings for events in our function room and for tables of more than 6 people. Please call us on 01295 710978 to discuss any requirements you may have. 

Finally – please respect customer and staff personal decisions to keep to their own safety measures. No rudeness to staff will be tolerated. As always, we must learn to move with the new measures together and it will be a learning curve for all of us. If you have any queries or concerns, please do message us privately.
