COVID 19
Social Distancing:

We will be asking all customers to maintain a social distance at all times.

Please wait at the car park entrance door to be seated. We must monitor the number of customers we have in the pub at any one time and every customer must provide their name and contact information, as a requirement of the governments track and trace service. We will have an “in” door and an “exit door” – with a one in one out for the ladies and gents’ toilets also. 

The government have also stipulated that indoor gatherings should be in groups of up to two households. Outdoor gatherings of up to 6 people or less can be from any household. If your outdoor gathering is for 7 or more people, then all guests should be from no more than two households. It is against the law to gather in a group of more than 30 people in any setting and therefore we will not be able to take any function bookings for the time-being. 

Table bookings are available and advised. Tables will be available in the pub, the barn, the courtyard and the garden. 

Cleaning:

We want to reassure you that there will be regular cleaning and our staff will all be washing their hands every 20 minutes. We will be sanitising all “touch points” every half an hour, as per the government guidance. We also have new hand sanitising stations being installed and we would encourage every customer to use them on entry, after using the toilets and on exiting. 

Service at the table:

For seating inside the pub we will be providing full table service. Once you are allocated to your table you will not be able to stand or walk around the pub, other than to use the toilet. (This includes children too). We will do our best to keep a safe distance whilst serving you at the table. 

For those customers seated outdoors and, in the barn, there will be a socially distanced queuing system provided for service from the bar. All ordered items, food, or drinks must be paid for when ordering. The bar will be fitted with a Perspex screen to keep both customers and staff safe. We are also in the process of setting up an ordering app to enable customers to order and pay for drinks only via an app from their table, indoors or outdoors. These will then be brought to your table by a staff member. 

Spacing:

We want to re-assure you that a considerable amount of care has gone in to spacing all tables and chairs throughout the pub, the courtyard, the barn, and the garden. Absolutely NO furniture is to be moved – this is to ensure the safety of everyone and to ensure that we are meeting the minimum requirements set by the government. 

All areas of the pub indoors will remain, at the advice of the government, well ventilated with all windows and doors always open. There will be no bar stools available as sitting at the bar is also not allowed. 

Menus/Food service: 

We will be providing a smaller temporary menu – again until we get back on our feet. These will be provided on single use menus and will be disposed of after use. We will also provide single use condiments and all cutlery will be brought to your tables when the food is served. 



Entertainment:

For the time being live entertainment, such as live music and quizzes are prohibited. Sporting events can be shown on the televisions but all customers wishing to watch them must be seated at a table. 

Payments:

Card and cash payments will be accepted. 


Lastly, please be patient with us this is new to us all. No rudeness to staff regarding the restrictions will be accepted and those who are not abiding to the new restrictions will be asked to leave – we are trying our best to offer the village pub as you are all used to – just safely!
